The location of the restaurant is different, the Hermitage of the Madre de Dios del Campo dates from the year 1495. It was rebuilt after 1740, suffered confiscations, but the building arrived in relative good condition until 1977, the year in which it was dynamited by a parish priest to use its stones in the extension of another hermitage in the city, leaving the church without a roof and demolishing its inn. These ruins, cataloged as such and included in the Red List of Heritage, left the same last September and were included in the Green List of Heritage of the Hispano Nostra Association.
Today the complex has an area of ??12,000 m2. Thus was born a space with its own character, unique, intoxicating, dazzling, welcoming and at the same time overwhelming. An exceptional place where you will find heritage, history, culture, crafts, typical gastronomy and signature cuisine in its restaurant and terraces open daily to the public and museum spaces so that the visitor can know the before and after of Ermita Madre of God.
We can find a large parking area, Magina Viewpoint, Olea Garden with 300 m2 Bedouin tent, Dovela Hall, Sacristy Rooms, Dome, Dressing Room, Choir, Gazebo Terrace, Dressing Room, Wardrobe, Nursing Room, spacious and innovative industrial kitchens, and , occupying the heart of the hermitage with respect, the SACRUM Restaurant.
Sacrum Restaurant seeks to offer its customers seasonal and quality products, cuisine typical of the province of Jaén, fusing it with native olive oils, taking care of the decoration and the service, so that the gastronomic experience is added to the visual and sensorial of the environment and monument that hermitage Madre de Dios offers.
